Hi, I'm Kara, Mom of Three.
My middle son, Ryden, is on the autism spectrum. He's an incredible kid, and I wouldn't change him for the world. But raising him has changed the way I see everything.
A few years ago, after trying for five years, it became clear that the traditional school setting just wasn't working for him. So I made the decision to bring him home and begin unschooling. That decision changed our lives.
Like many parents of neurodivergent children, I still needed to work, but the reality is, most jobs aren't built for families like ours. I brought Ryden with me to work for a while, until I eventually had to leave that job due to a toxic environment. And suddenly, I was stuck. Because who is going to hire someone who needs to bring their child to work?
Then something unexpected happened.
A friend, who knows exactly who she is and will forever have my gratitude, gave me the opportunity to clean her Airbnb on the beach. It became a place of peace for me and my kids. I could work, my children could be with me, and for the first time, it worked.
That's when everything clicked.
Why aren't there more opportunities like this for parents like me? Why are we forced to choose between supporting our families and supporting our children?
So I created something different.

Spectrum Sparkle Co. LLC was built to bridge the gap that too many families fall through. The gap between supporting your family financially and being present for a child who needs you.
Cleaning gives us something unique: the ability to work outside traditional hours, in quieter environments, without the pressure of constant public interaction. It isn't accidental. It's by design, and it works for families like ours in ways that most jobs simply don't.
But this is bigger than cleaning.
Our long-term goal is to create opportunities not just for parents, but for neurodivergent young adults, too. To provide one-on-one training in calm, supportive environments across Florida's First Coast, where they don't have to mask or conform to a system that was never built for them. A place where they can learn, grow, and succeed exactly as they are.
Because they are already capable. Already detail-oriented. Already incredible.
They just need the right environment.
This business was built from love, necessity, and a deep belief that families like mine deserve better.
