Have Allergies? We'll Use Your Vacuum — Here's Why That Matters

For clients with allergies or sensitivities, we're glad to clean with your own vacuum. Here's how it works and why it makes a difference.

Have Allergies? We'll Use Your Vacuum — Here's Why That Matters

A recent client asked a simple question: "Because of my allergies, can your team use my vacuum cleaner instead of yours?" The answer is yes — and it's worth explaining why this matters, and how easy it is to arrange.

Quick answer Yes. If you have allergies, asthma, or chemical sensitivities, we're happy to use your own vacuum on every visit. There is no extra charge. Just leave it out with any bag or filter notes and we'll follow them.

Why your own vacuum can be the better choice Households managing allergies often invest in a specific vacuum — a sealed-system HEPA unit, a particular bag type, or a model chosen for pet dander, dust mites, or mold spores common in coastal Florida homes. That vacuum is already tuned to your environment: the right filter is installed, the bag is fresh, and nothing from another home has passed through it.

Even the best professional vacuum we bring travels between properties. For most clients that's a non-issue — we service filters and use HEPA models — but for someone with a diagnosed sensitivity, using the vacuum that lives in your home eliminates a variable entirely.

How to request it There's nothing formal to sign. Just tell us during your walkthrough, or leave a quick note for the team, and we'll add it to your service profile so every visit uses your unit. If you have preferences on:

- which bag or filter to use (and where spares are stored), - which attachments to use for upholstery or stairs, - or how to empty and store it after,

leave those notes with the vacuum and we'll follow them every time.

What we still bring Using your vacuum doesn't change anything else about the service. We still bring:

- color-coded microfiber (kitchen, bath, glass, general — never cross-used), - professional-grade cleaners, with a fully fragrance-free option for sensitive households, - all bathroom, kitchen, and glass supplies, - any specialty products you've asked us to use (stone sealants, wood polish, etc.).

The rest of the visit runs exactly as scheduled — surfaces dusted, floors mopped, bathrooms detailed, beds made. Only the vacuum changes.

Part of a bigger allergy-friendly approach Using your vacuum pairs well with the other allergy-conscious practices already built into our service: HEPA-filtered vacuums on our side when yours isn't available, microfiber that traps rather than spreads dust, fragrance-free cleaning products, and a weekly or bi-weekly cadence that keeps allergen load down instead of letting it build up between visits.

If someone in your household is managing allergies, asthma, or a sensitivity to fragrance, tell us at the walkthrough. We'll build the plan around it — including using your vacuum on every visit.
